(OTTAWA, unceded territories of the Anishinaabe Algonquin Nation): Grassroots advocates, civil society organizations, and trade unions, standing in solidarity with frontline communities around the world, will call on the Canadian government to take action to end ongoing human rights abuse and environmental destruction linked to Canadian companies globally. Participants in the rally will deliver to the government a petition signed by over 52,000 Canadians calling for Canada to adopt rigorous corporate accountability legislation.
