Position Title: Bilingual Campaigns Coordinator (English and French)
Salary: $72,000 plus 5% of base salary in lieu of pension
Benefits and paid leave: Extended health coverage, 20 vacation days, 10 sick days, 2 personal days annually
Status: Permanent, full-time (40 hours/week)
Location: Remote/home-based, with occasional travel in the Toronto-Ottawa-Montreal corridor. The CNCA office is located in Ottawa.

About the CNCA
The Canadian Network for Corporate Accountability (CNCA) is a Canadian registered nonprofit. The CNCA brings together over 40 organizations from across Canada that advocate for Canadian policy and law reform to ensure Canadian corporations respect human rights and the environment throughout their global operations and supply chains. The CNCA also collaborates internationally with similarly mandated organizations.
Position Summary
The Campaigns Coordinator plays a key role in advancing CNCA’s advocacy priorities by planning, coordinating, and implementing public campaigns that promote corporate respect for human rights and the environment. Working closely with CNCA members, staff, and partner organizations, the Campaigns Coordinator develops campaign strategies, coordinates campaign activities, produces advocacy and communications materials, and monitors policy developments to support strategic advocacy initiatives.
The CNCA is a small team with a shared management model. The Campaigns Coordinator is a co-management position that contributes to both campaign work and shared organizational responsibilities, including supporting collaborative decision-making and the effective functioning of the network.
Main Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, coordination, and implementation of CNCA’s advocacy and grassroots organizing campaigns to advance the organization’s strategic priorities and achieve campaign objectives.
- Develop and implement campaign strategies and action plans in collaboration with CNCA members, partners, and allies, ensuring effective execution and evaluation of campaign activities.
- Build, maintain, and strengthen relationships with CNCA members, allied organizations, government officials, and other key stakeholders to advance shared advocacy goals and expand CNCA’s network of supporters.
- Create and coordinate high-quality campaign and communications materials, including campaign plans, petitions, reports, public statements, briefing materials, website content, and social media and multimedia content that informs, engages, and mobilizes key constituencies.
- Manage CNCA’s social and traditional media presence, including by developing social media strategies, identifying media opportunities, and overseeing media relations.
- Work closely with network members and co-staff to monitor and analyze policy, legislative, and political developments relevant to CNCA’s priorities, and coordinate timely organizational responses and advocacy opportunities.
- As part of a shared management team, contribute to the organization’s strategic direction, and financial and administrative capacity. Support effective network operations through organizational planning, budgeting, contractor coordination, and the development and implementation of fundraising strategies.
Skills and Experience
- Demonstrated experience developing and implementing public advocacy campaigns, including campaign planning, organizing, and mobilization. (Required)
- Experience building coalitions and working collaboratively with diverse members, partners, and stakeholders. (Required)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and French, with the ability to develop advocacy and campaign materials in both languages. (Required)
- Demonstrated ability to build relationships and communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders Traditional media and government relations experience are a strong asset.
- Experience developing policy positions and recommendations is a strong asset.
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and collaborate effectively in a team environment. (Required)
- Experience working in non-hierarchical teams, with a strong understanding of consensus-based decision-making and collaborative group processes, is a strong asset.
- A demonstrated commitment to human rights, labour rights, environmental and social justice, with an understanding of colonialism and intersecting systems of oppression. (Required)
